- Watkins Hardware has an exclusive contract to sell Gibraltar Paint. The company president is in town doing a demo of the paint’s durability: he built a house, painted it, and will set it on fire May 3rd.
- A. T. Barnes has Baldwin pianos to sell
- A bunch of dudes (including a C. B. Cheatham of Louisburg, Mayor R. J. Sutherland, and 5 or 6 more) pooled their money to buy a fine young French Coach Stallion for $3600
