  • Trolley Party in Durham, delightful, thrown by Lila Wright for her friends, but especially for Miss Kate Watkins, Miss Rebecca Watkins, and Miss Elkins, visiting. After a trip around the trolley line, the 30 or so partygoers went to Lakewood Park and enjoyed refreshments while the park orchestra played. Once the orchestra’s time slot was over, Miss Wright paid them for the rest of the night and there was a dance until midnight
